Wood carved Traditional Sri Lankan farmer.

This piece of art is black & dark brown in color. Sri Lanka is an agricultural country. So there are more people farmers in Sri Lanka. In traditional agriculture, they used traditional equipment to fieldwork. The main equipment is Hoe ( Sri Lankans Called UDALLA) it was made by the iron blade and wooden handle. This is a statue of a traditional farmer going to the field with a hoe. They have to work with mud so they only dress in a single piece of cloth ( Called AMBUDAYA). And also they wear a hat by a piece of cloth ( Called SUMBARE), Wood carved Traditional Sri Lankan farmer carved with hardwood and varnished for lifetime usage.
